It was God (well, Mary) who brought Pinot Noir to NZ. Planted in 1871 at Mission Estate by the Society of Mary, it has found a natural habitat. At our tasting on 25/9 we are trying the dark and mushroomy Pirinoa Road 2015. Stunningly good.
