A stunning white wine from La Bascula to be showcased on Thursday 11th Feb at Corkage by Ed Adams MW. Notes read thus:

The Heights of the Charge evokes the criss-crossing of Rueda by medieval knights as pilgrims on the Santiago de Compostela trail.
Working with the excellent Diez Siglos de Verdejo cellar in Rueda, this wine is made with traditional grape varieties of Verdejo and Viura; it has a lemony freshness and tropical fruit character with a complexity and creaminess from 50% oak fermentation in a mix of American and French barrels.

The wines will be accompanied by a selection of Spanish nibbles, from a wonderful Jamon de Cebo to Spanish tortilla, with pan Catalan and a locally made English style Manchego cheese called Sheep Rustler! How does that sound to you?
