Bryan Mac Robert is at the head of this exciting project. This young South African, only recently settled in La Rioja, is enthusiastic and excited to produce artisanal wines. He has spent many years learning from Eben Sadie, a key figure in the international wine-making sector.
His wines attempt to capture the reality of the environment, with an ecological production and little intervention.
Laventura Viura comes from an old vineyard principally composed of the Viura variety with a few strains of other varieties. The grapes ferment in 600 litre barrels with native yeast and the wine is aged with its lees, without carrying out batonage (a technique in which the lees are removed from the wine during fermentation) to avoid giving the wine excessive body.
Laventura Viura respects the varietal character of the wine and the earth, without allowing the wood and excessive ripeness to predominate.
Fantastic texture supports vibrant lemon and limes, peaches, flowers and a hint of spice. Rounded and textured.
The next time you’re eating Spanish cured meats, pour yourself a glass of this, sit back and fall in love.
