Domaine Pinchinat has quietly been producing organic wines since 1990, long before it was a trendy word in the region. The property has belonged to the same family for over two centuries and is now expertly managed by Alain de Welle. Situated at the foot of the famous Montagne Sainte-Victoire, 25km east of Aix en Provence, the winery has 75 acres of vineyard at 280m above sea level. The soils here are composed of clay and limestone making it a haven for vine growing.
It’s an indisputable fact that many consider Provence to be the benchmark for mineral-led Rosé but New Zealand is hot on its heels with offerings such as this. Let the battle commence!
