Founded in 1956 by Michele Chiarlo and now run by his sons Alberto and Stefano, the Chiarlo philosophy “is to capture the terroir” and with judicious use of oak they develop some wines for ageing and some which can be enjoyed earlier.

Intense and vivid ruby red, slightly garnet on the nail. Rose petals and flavors of iris and musk open the nose, then guided by hints of cherry jam and ripe. Elegant tannins, delicate spices and a silky sensation in the mouth.
A supreme balance of structured, spicy power and floral elegance! The tertiaries speak of tobacco, mint, anise, mocha, cocoa, leather and humus. The tasting is full-bodied and intact in the tannic texture. Good length.
