It is in the north of Deux-Sèvres, in Sainte-Radegonde, near Touars, that Nicolas Reau has been working since 2001 and fully living his vision as a winegrower with passion, sharing and instinct.
He is undoubtedly one of the most exciting winegrowers of the Loire by his personality and his daily philosophy in his approach to wine, from the vine to the cellar. Guided by a thirst for freedom, accomplishment and authenticity, this former jazz pianist took the vineyard path in 1994, drawn like a magnet into the wine adventure. He then embarked on a BTS viti-oeno in Montreuil Bellay then acquired in 1998 the Domaine de la Victorie, in Cersay then in 2002, the Clos des Treilles, in Pompois.
In the vineyard, it is quite naturally and thanks to a number of meetings with pioneer wine growers of organic cultivation and “natural wine” that Nicolas Reau moved towards organic cultivation, the practice of biodynamics and vinifications without inputs and without added sulphites.

The 50 year-old Cabernet Franc vines used for this cuvee are planted on clay-limestone dotted with small stones.
The grapes are harvested manually and fermentation starts spontaneously by the action of indigenous yeasts, first inside concrete tanks and then in wooden barrels, where it also carries out malolactic fermentation. The wine always ages in used wooden barrels for about 12 months.
Earthy, with tempting red fruit and nice hint of black pepper, a wonderful nose of vine tomato, cumin and coriander with a curranty palate.
