Verdeca ‘Talò’ 2020, San Marzano, Puglia £10.00 This is a bone-dry Verdeca which shows a richness of aromatics, white flowers, crisp green apple and a hint of honey. Full flavoured, with a creamy texture and a long and intense finish. Faultline Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Marlborough, New Zealand £13.00 This typical Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc offers peapods, gooseberry and asparagus with a fresh and herbaceous flavour. Ideal for a glass or two or it works well with food. Adega de Pegões ‘Selected Harvest White’ 2020 Península de Setúbal £10.00 This is a full flavoured wine with fruity aromas of orange blossom, ginger and ripe fruits which work in harmony with the oak spice. Rich and opulent on the palate with a creamy vanilla spice, it has a persistent, elegant finish. Beck Ink 2020, Weingut Judith Beck, Burgenland, Austria £15.00 A rewarding natural red wine that is very fragrant, light in tannin and has good acid balanced – it’s a delicious crisp red, and the wine holds a beautiful red-violet color. Rioja Crianza Rivallana 2018 Ondarre, Rioja, Spain £12.00 Spicy fruit aromas are complemented by subtle notes of vanilla from oak ageing. Savoury and ripe fruit flavours combine on the palate resulting in a traditional Rioja style. Malbec Le Pur Fruit du Causse 2019, Cahors, France £15.25 Bright, intense purple colour, recognisably Malbec with bramble fruit and grip, yet at just 12.5% alcohol it’s a genuine vin de soif – even for serving slightly chilled in warmer summer months. Radically brilliant.
  • Neck of the Woods Pinot Gris bang for your buck whites

  • Bergerac Blanc, Moulin des Dames, Château Tour des Gendres 2017 £26

Unctuous and superbly rich and full-bodied, this is a very ripe expression of a barrel aged Sauvignon Blanc from the Bergerac region of the south of France.

Complex with flavours of apricot and citrus, it would be perfect with fish in a creamy sauce, shellfish or blue cheese.

  • Tocco Colline Pescaresi is an organic family farm in Alanno, in the Pescara hills in Abruzzo. This organic Pecorino is bright in colour, intense lemon zest and heaps of minerality. Fresh and very drinkable, also a great food wine.
  • Neal and Judy Ibbotson were pioneers in the Marlborough wine industry, first planting vineyards in the valley in 1978 and then establishing Saint Clair Family Estate in 1994. They own 160 hectares of vineyard in 10 different Marlborough locations chosen specifically for the attributes of their individual "terroir" and ability to produce top quality grapes. Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Chardonnay has aromas of fragrant peach, toasted hazelnut and cinnamon spice with smoky nuances. The palate is round and full with nectarine, vanilla, nutmeg and a gentle touch of coconut. Drinking beautifully now, this wine will continue to evolve and reward over the next five years with careful cellaring.
  • Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru ‘Morgeot’ Domaine Gagnard-Delagrange 2018 A rich and elegant wine, complex floral and white fruit aromas with buerre noisette lead to a palate of crisp summer apples and juicy green pears, white nectarines and honey-blossom. The finish is a journey through lightly toasted nuts, buttery complexity, freshly grated nutmeg and long, juicy acidity.

This great Bordeaux Blanc from a wonderful producer offers cut grass on the nose with plenty of apple and honey on the palate and an ace oily texture, ripe rich stone fruits with lemongrass notes.
  • An elegant wine of great complexity, with citrus aromas enveloped in layers of minerality and herbal nuances. On the palate, this wine is full-flavoured with a creamy texture, powerful and long. White wine for red wine drinkers
