  • Marsala Superiore (50cl), Vigna La Miccia Bartoli, Sicily – Italy £31.5 This is a quite distinctive an innovative style of semi-dry Marsala first created by Marco Bartoli back in 1985. Fruity and elegant palate with flavours of fruit, walnuts, tobacco and even a little garrigue.
  • Montenidoli, Vernaccia di San Gimignano 'Fiore' 2018 £23

    Elisabetta Fagiuoli and her husband Sergio founded their 50 hectare winery in 1965, on a hillside across the valley from the picturesque Tuscan town of San Gimignano. Montenidoli means "mountain of little nests".
    With a nose of cucumber, lemon and white flowers, the wine is vibrant on the palate with bright, crisp, stony minerality accompanied by flavours of green apple and lemongrass. Perfectly balanced, with a delicate acidity and a clean finish.
  • Suc de Sauló, Celler Cominuca, 2017, Montsant, Spain £22.5 Pep Aguilar and Patri Morillo are the masterminds behind the wonderful Celler Comunica project. They make their wines in an old farmhouse estate, known as Mas d’en Cosme, in the town of Falset, on the border of Priorat and Montsant. Suc de Sauló is their most complex wine, rich and powerful, yet balanced an elegant, with aromas of red fruit, and very spicy. Enjoy it with food and prepare to be transported to the sunny granitic vineyards of Mas d'en Cosme in the exciting Montsant.

    This 3.7 hectare property is superbly situated on the plateau. The biggest parcel adjoins La Fleur and is 100m from Petrus. Rich, ripe and luscious red berry and plum fruit on the nose. The palate is soft with Raspberry, Blackberry, Plum and Fig, Capsicum and Vanilla linger on the palate with alcohol warmth. Beautifully integrated tannins, a very rewarding wine.

  • Riesling Andi Knauss 2019, Wurttemberg, Remstal, Germany £19 This great, dry Riesling is very easy drinking, refreshing and crisp, with aromas of green apples and lemons, and some spice and herbal elements.  It has a great acidity and delivers lemony citrus notes with a hint of salinity.
  • Ancient Vine Semillon ‘Long Gully Road’ 2017, David Franz, Barossa, South Australia  £25 On the nose it's honeyed wax lemon and golden summer grass over hints of rich yeast and aromatic dried herbs, and on the palate zesty lemon curd pie with a smooth honeyed finish.  
  • Domaine La Garrigue is set in the heart of the Vacqueyras appellation in the Southern Côtes du Rhône, in the Vaucluse department of France. The estate buildings are just 2.5 km from the main village, on a plateau called Les Garrigues. Only 1,000 cases of the wine are made every year, and it is highly sought after. The 2016 Vacqueyras is  deep purple in colour with scents of red fruits, herbs de Provence and black pepper. Bruising flavours of sweet cherries and spice with a wonderful liquorice, herbs and spices - rustic and charming with a lingering finish!
